Dr. Ololade Adekoya fondly called “Dr. Lola” is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Lola obtained her undergraduate degree from York University, Canada where she graduated Cum Laude, her graduate degree from Bowie State University, MD and her doctorate degree from Brandman University in Irvine, California.
Dr. Ololade has worked in several sectors throughout her career by serving adolescents and adults with psychiatric illnesses and addictions aside from her internal medicine experience. The experience Dr. Lola gained working in a variety of psychiatric environments allow her to treat diverse patient populations and diagnoses. She began her career in addiction medicine and has worked in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. She has treated patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, mood disorders, impulse control disorder of conduct, oppositional defiant disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, ADHD, personality disorders, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal ideations and suicide attempts, homicidal ideations, OCD, Autism, and other neuropsychiatric disorders.
As a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner trained in psychiatry for individuals of all ages, Dr. Lola is passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. She understands the significant fear associated with healing and is driven to deliver holistic psychiatry to individuals struggling with achieving mental wellness. Her practice style is grounded in treating the whole person (mind, body, and soul).
Ololade likes traveling, learning about different cultures, dinning at different restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and watching tv shows and movies.
